Cherie McLeod

Hi, I’m Cherie.  I graduated from Massey University in 2003.  I spent two years in mixed practice in Te Awamutu before heading to the UK to work and travel for five years.  I moved back to New Zealand with my husband Alex at the end of 2009 and worked for a year in New Plymouth before returning to my home town of Hamilton to work and start our family.  We moved to beautiful Papamoa Beach with our two daughters at the end of 2017.

I enjoy working with people and their pets to deliver the best quality care and service possible.  I am particularly interested in dermatology, dentistry and feline medicine, but enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and soft tissue surgery.

I am working towards my Masters of Veterinary Medicine which is a fantastic way to hone my clinical skills and keep me up to date.  I love spending time at the beach with my family, or walking and running on the beach when I get some time to myself.  I love to cycle wherever possible, and occasionally brave the mountain bike tracks of the Redwoods.

We have two feline fur babies, our senior citizen Mousie and a lovely-naughty kitten called Rosie.
